New Meteorologist at Dayton's News Source

WKEF and WRGT have finally filled the void in the weather department that was left with the departure of meteorologist Greg Dixon. The station has hired Jeff Booth from KGMB in Hawaii, where he was their morning meteorologist. Booth will be covering weekday evenings and is no stranger to the Miami Valley - he had his first weather gig at WLIO in Lima, after working as a news reporter in West Virginia. Expect to see Booth hit the airwaves beginning next week.

I wonder if Pat Barry will remain? I guess the rumor that Lindsey Kurtz is leaving is true. 22/45 has really rolled out the read carpet for this guy! I still miss Greg Dixon.

Pat Barry will be gone soon as well. He's been freelancing this whole time while new meteorologists were being searched for. Andrew Michael, the new weekend meteorologist is expected to start this Saturday.

I am glad to see 22/45 is finally pumping some talent into the weather department. Pat was great, Lindsey was aweful and Mike Terwilliger just needs to go.

Pumping some money? Sinclair has never "pumped money" into a station in their life. They are a joke, just like their stations.

According to know it all Apuzzo(at Skyhigh Weather), Sinclair Broadcasting is losing so much money at 22/45, that the news operation won't last another 2 years.

He may be right, he did freelance for them also, and his asking price was too high.

Apuzzo may be right, but he is just trying to push his business. He talks so much crap for a reason. Ever heard a seminar by him? Did you enjoy it? NO, he has a HUGE ego. Forecast the weather, and just do it. If you like what you do, do it, if you want to make money, weather isnt the job for it, unless you are in the top markets.

Apuzzo doesnt know crap about local stations anymore, he will put them down at any chance he can get, in order to boost himself up.

Nuf said, peace!

I've seen Jeff Booth's forecasts a few times and for whatever reason, he never "throws" it back to the desk. There is an odd silence???

Jeff Booth is a first class Meteorologist and will be an asset to the Miami Valley. It is also nice to have classic good looks back on the airwaves.
